USA! USA! USA!
Lindsey Vonn of the United States lived up to her billing as the golden girl of the Winter Olympics with a dominant victory in the women's downhill at Whistler Creek on Wednesday.
Vonn had been troubled by a shin injury in the build-up to the Games in Vancouver but showed no ill effects with a blistering run of one minute 44.19 seconds to win her first Olympic medal of any color.
The Minnesotan, the reigning world champion in the discipline and totally dominant on the World Cup circuit in the build-up to Games, decimated the time set by fellow American Julia Mancuso by over half a second from start number 16.
Re: It's obvious
Japan runs the games industry, or at least makes and sells the most games out of every region in the world. The US games industry is kinda embarssing, when comparing production value and innovation.
They both suffer from stereotyping in a lot of ways, even sexism. Japanese games will have Japanese heroes, American games will have white guys, etc. There's always the stereotypical sexy/cutesy ... all in one game. A black girl from Kenya who does Capoeira, an afro-brazilian kid from Rio who does his own form of shotokan karate, and a really rich black english boxer who fights in a tuxedo!
I don't play a lot of games these days, but I do remember way back when I was a tester, we'd received a game called "Decathelete," where the black character was named "Robin Banks."
not kidding!
It' true ...
I love my American Akita. Ahe is the most bad A** puppy eva! Her temperment is amazing, her gaite is supurb, i tell you no lie, this girl is perfection for her breed standard. I want so badly to show judges how wonderful and graceful this baby girl is, I LOVE MY DOG AND I WANT TO SHOW HER OFF TO THE WORLD!!!
The only problem is that she does not come with papers. I know the AKC has PALS, but they cant compete in conformation, and it's her beauty and grace that is so apealing to everyone she crosses. She has been DNA tested, she is pure breed, not that it mattered before, she will always be my fluffy friend
